Master Convection Portable Propane Heaters
These lightweight portable propane heaters have
the added benefit of including a fan that helps blow the heat outwards. You can use this heater to heat a room up
to 600 square feet. You can adjust the heat output to suit your needs and the unit includes the hose and regulator
fitting to attach to 20lb to 100lb propane tanks. These heaters can be bought online for under $150.
Large Space Portable Propane Heaters
There are portable propane heaters on the market that
can be used to heat very large spaces. They are often to be found heating construction sites and other large, open
work spaces. They can heat a space up to 2500 square feet and generate an enormous 95,000 BTU. They are typically
very heavy duty, made with cast iron and steel. Look for units that come with the ability to provide infrared
emergency heat and have built-in freeze protection systems. These are not your small patio heaters for the barbeque
season, but if you have a large, cold workshop then this type of heater could be a good choice. They will also set
you back around $350.
Coleman Catalytic Portable Propane Heaters
These heaters are highly portable and provide
heat without any open flames. They are great for heating garages, tents, boats or as a backup heat source in
case of power cuts etc. These heaters produce up to 3000 BTU and use catalytic technology to provide a flameless,
consistent heat even at high altitudes. They are used with a 16.4 ounce propane cylinder which attaches to the back
of the unit. It also has a fan mechanism that is powered by separate batteries to help distribute the heat further.
You can have heat for up to eight hours on one tank of propoane. These heaters vary in price depending on size but
you should be able to buy one online for between $80 and $100.
